I try to avoid processed food, and i watch my calorie and salt intake. I am not an athlete, but an older woman who sometimes needs a quick, portable meal - breakfast before Tai Chi class, or when I'm desperate in late afternoon. I don't want gooey melted chocolate in my handbag. Although these are kind of sticky, they don't melt. The fat/ carb/ protein balance is decent, and it's mostly real, healthful ingredients I recognize. There are a lot of bars out there, but so far these seem the best fit for me.
