Part of our commitment to reducing our pollution footprint means there is no plastic or virgin paper used in our products or packaging.  Leaving off paints, plastic, epoxy, and other coatings helps reduce pollution and protects you and our workers from exposure to harmful chemicals. CLEANING: After your steel arrives, it may have residue from the polishing at the factory. To ensure your steel is absolutely clean, we recommend soaking overnight in a solution of half white vinegar / half water. Wipe them down in the morning and then wash as usual. Because of the additional weight, we recommend using the heaviest pieces, especially the Cub Plates, as "tableware" for toddlers. While the plate would be fine of dropped, they are comparable in weight to a ceramic or glass plate and could hurt if dropped on a foot.
