The Zone has been my go to for years. Wish I had stuck to it in my younger years instead of getting on the fad diet bandwagon because it is a way of eating that makes me feel best. That said, I first tried the Yogurt Honey Peanut variety probably 20 years ago and you could taste the honey. That delicious honey flavor is gone. Over time, it seems like even the best companies reel back on authenticity and quality a bit to stay competitive. That said, it's still a nice tasting bar. It's just not a great tasting bar anymore. Balance Bar is still a good quick breakfast and snack. This reminds me of when Nestlé bought Cadbury and swore to loyal Cadbury fans they'd never change the recipe or quality. They did. They result was a chocolate that wash still better than Hershey's but no longer great. I don't think most companies strive for great anymore. They go for good enough.I love their peanut bar. It's perfect for when you are busy and miss lunch. On it's page it says I've bought it more than 50 times. I got a message from Amazon that they didn't have peanut and they said I could get Cookie Dough instead. I really liked it. (I just got a message they're out of this too. Darn). I'd rate it 4 1/2 stars and 5 stars for the peanut. Great product!.People are saying about the sugar. If your sensitive to sugar this is not for you. Other than that it’s a 40 30 30. For a breakfast or a light lunch it’s good. Or fir a day snack great. This bar is a good replacement. It’s sugar concentration is higher than most but people sugar is not bad for you other than if your a diabetic. It’s part of diet that helps fuel the body. 18 grams is about a half of a snickers. I don’t eat snickers or any candy bars so I don’t care. I derive most of my sugar from fruit. It’s a good alternate. It’s nutritious not analy nutritional but good.I previously bought these bars at my local supermarket for the first time a few months ago and fell in love with them; they had a fantastic taste, were convenient for travel, and provided me with the necessary nutritional needs. However, they (the PB chocolate bars) were hard to find for a few weeks in store, so I ordered online, especially when I saw the orange packaging (in store had the PB chocolate bars in a brown and yellow package- which turned out to be made differently and tasted terrible). So, when I saw these advertised online in the orange packaging, I immediately purchased several boxes because the orange / brown packaging had a fantastic taste and those were the ones I was looking for.Unfortunately, the orange / brown bars were NOT what I received. I received the PB chocolate bar in the yellow and brown packaging, which is definitely NOT made the same way. I was incredibly disappointed by this, as the entire reason I ordered online was because it was advertised as being the orange / brown packaging and, trust me when I say this, there is a HUGE difference in taste between the two bars, even though they're both PB chocolate.Fortunately for me, I found the bars in my local grocery store a few weeks later, so I bought six boxes right away of the orange / brown labeled bars. There is truly a HUGE difference between the two and I will not make that same mistake again.They taste great and have a good amount of protein but they’re too small for the price… more of a snack bar than a meal barThese are the original bars but you can get a better price at retail stores. For me, this is my favorite flavor, so I pay the higher price.Great snack bar. I have always loved the yogurt honey peanut flavor.Not a big fan of the flavor. More "gritty" tasting than other Balance bars.
