I have an absurd amount of food intolerances but quinoa is not one of them. I’ve had difficulty finding easy snacks or foods to act as substitutes for foods usually made with wheat.I love these! On their own, they’re relatively plain, but still really good. I like to mix things with them. For example, I’ll mix some with agave for a sweet snack or I’ll toss them in bag with a little oil and seasoning for a more savory snack. I use them in place of croutons and oyster crackers as well.The only reason I gave a three star rating for value, is I ended up ordering them directly from the manufacture at quite a cost savings. I did have to pay shipping, but the cost savings per bag was totally worth it because I bought about 10 bags of their products (this one and some of their flavored ones).Best snack for kids and adults!This cereal is amazing, but can be bought directly from the company at a much more reasonable cost. It's a great cereal, a great addition to a smoothie, can be crumbled to add to a casserole/parfait/chia pudding/etc. Great stuff. Don't pay the price being asked here for it, though. I ordered directly from awsum snacks for $2.99/bag.Taste goodThese are tasty and I love the crunch, just know that they become soft within a few seconds of adding your liquid of choice. They recently used tri colored quinoa for the last batch of cereal and so this one looks different. They will be going back to their regular white quinoa now that they have gotten a new supply.Even though I had no luck contacting them through email or by phone there Facebook reply was very prompt. I'm updating my 1 star review to 5 star because their product is something my 1 year old loves!Original post:I had purchased a bag of this brand quinoa puff cereal for my 1 year old. He loves it. The first food he has ever enjoyed. Unfortunately as we neared the end of our first bag I put in an order for 2 more. When I received it and opened the bag I found weird black spots all over the cereal. The first bag was not like this at all. I returned the order and tried ordering from Walmart online. Same brand. And found black spots all over these as well. I learned that a number of other people were receiving bags just like this even though earlier orders did not have black spots on the cereal. In my opinion it looks just like mold. I tried contacting the company but can't get anyone. I hope this issue is resolved soon.I loved this quinoa cereal! My whole family LOVED it, but a family of 4 could only eat 1 bowl of cereal each with this bag. So ita pricey for the amount of cereal it brings.Why i bought it (more than once) even though its very expensive for the amount of cerealnit brings is because its 1 ingredient only and you have to support that!
